During its press conference Tuesday, December 15, the Legault government informed the province of Quebec that it was putting the holiday season on pause from December 17 to January 11, with a view to containing and preventing an acceleration of the virus' second wave of spread and reduce its pressure on our health system. Consequently, new public health measures are effective according to specific sectors of activity. Stores and offices will therefore be closed from December 25 to January 11 and teleworking will be in force during this period.

In this context, we would like to reassure you and confirm that we will be opened and available online/in virtual mode and that our Customer Service and sales advisors will continue to avail themselves during the holiday season by phone, chat, email and video conference to assist you in your project. They will take a well-deserved break on December 24-25-26 and January 31-1 and 2 and will return back on January 3 according to the instructions in force.

In its latest September 30th decree, the Government of Quebec stipulates that in a private residence or in an accommodation unit, including the land, any person can receive a maintenance, repair or residential renovation service; have a visit for the purpose of selling or renting the residence, as well as any other similar service.

According to the APCHQ, the government's intention is to allow work in the residential renovation sector as well as to allow all construction works carried out on sites across the province of Quebec. Sanitary measures remain in place and must be followed to the letter according to the COVID CNESST Guide – Construction.

During his press conference on the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in the province, our Premier François Legault announced Monday, July 13, 2020, that the wearing of a mask / face cover will be mandatory in closed public places everywhere in the province of Quebec starting Saturday July 18. As of Saturday, people aged 12+ who go to a closed public place - a shop, a store, a grocery store, a shopping center, a sports center, for example - will have to wear a mask, otherwise they will be refused access.

Maisons Laprise will therefore be responsible, like all merchants and retailers, to apply this new measure in its corporate stores in Laval, Beloeil, Quebec and Montmagny, as of July 18, 2020, failing to respect this new rule, a fine may apply and vary from $ 400 to $ 6,000, depending on whether it is a first offense or a repeated offense. We are confident that all together we will adopt the wearing of masks as an additional preventive measure.

COVID-19: ALL OUR CORPORATE SALES OFFICES ARE AGAIN OPEN

Today, May 25, 2020, our sales offices located in the CMM which have a storefront and a front door that leads to the outside are given the green light to reopen their doors. We are happy to be able to welcome you again in our sales offices in Beloeil and Laval from Monday to Saturday for all current projects and new projects. Our Quebec and Montmagny sales offices have been reopened since May 4. Our corporate offices in Beloeil, Laval and Quebec will also be open on Sundays. These most recent reopenings were authorized and announced by public health authorities and Prime Minister Legault a few weeks ago and they were eagerly awaited.
